We're delighted to be supporting a long-standing Higher Education client with the appointment of a Senior Learning Designer/Project Lead on an initial 12-month contract. Having partnered with this organisation on numerous digital education appointments over the years, we're excited to be supporting them again as they continue to develop high-quality online learning provision.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced learning design professional who enjoys combining hands-on expertise with project leadership. You'll work closely with academic stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to oversee the development of engaging online and blended learning programmes, ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard and provide an outstanding learner experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of online and blended learning projects from planning through to delivery.
  • Coordinate learning design activity across multiple workstreams and contributors.
  • Partner with academic staff and programme teams to translate subject expertise into engaging online learning experiences.
  • Review course builds to ensure quality, consistency and an effective learner journey.
  • Provide guidance and quality assurance across learning design outputs.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and manage competing priorities across multiple projects.
About You:
  • Significant experience in learning design within Higher Education.
  • Experience designing online and/or blended learning programmes.
  • A strong understanding of digital pedagogy and learner-centred design.
  • Experience leading or coordinating course development projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems, with Canvas experience desirable.

Contract Details: 12-month contract, Remote working, Approximately 5 days per week.
