This opportunity sits within a specialist consulting arm focused on embedding senior learning and capability consultants directly into large enterprise clients to help shape and deliver strategic workforce capability initiatives.
The Role
The position will oversee a team of Learning Business Partners and embedded L&D consultants responsible for partnering directly with business leaders to identify capability gaps, shape learning demand, prioritise initiatives, and connect business needs to learning solutions. The role sits at the intersection of consulting, learning strategy, stakeholder management, and operational leadership, acting as the senior consulting lead across multiple business areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Client Leadership
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders
- Partner closely with Learning & Leadership teams and operational business leaders
- Position the Business Partnering function as a strategic advisory capability
- Learning Business Partnering Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of embedded Learning Business Partners and L&D consultants
- Support capability uplift, consulting skills, and stakeholder engagement across the team
- Create structure, governance, and consistency across business partnering activities
- Drive succession planning and long-term capability within the team
- Demand Shaping & Consulting
- Oversee the intake, triage, and prioritisation of learning demand across the business
- Help business areas identify capability gaps and workforce development needs
- Support build vs buy vs curate learning decisions
- Facilitate workshops, discussions, and strategic learning conversations with stakeholders
- Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Improve Business Partnering frameworks, governance, and operational processes
- Identify delivery risks, stakeholder challenges, and operational inefficiencies
- Support reporting, visibility, and strategic planning across the account
Essential Experience
- Significant experience within Learning & Development, Capability, Workforce Transformation, or Consulting environments
- Experience leading Learning Business Partners, L&D Consultants, or embedded consulting teams
- Strong stakeholder management experience within large, complex organisations
- Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking capability
