We're partnering with a well-established professional membership and education organisation that is undergoing an exciting period of transformation.
With an ambitious strategy to expand its portfolio of digital learning, membership and partner products, the organisation is investing in a dedicated Product function to shape how product decisions are made across the business.
This is a rare opportunity to build and lead a Product Management capability from the ground up, creating the frameworks, governance and ways of working that will underpin future growth.
As Product Director, you'll be responsible for establishing Product Management as a distinct discipline, bringing greater clarity to prioritisation, ownership and decision-making.
Working at the intersection of customer insight, commercial strategy and delivery, you'll help shift the organisation from project-led delivery to outcome-focused product thinking.
You'll work closely with Executive leadership, Commercial, Operations, Technology and Learning teams to ensure investment is focused on the products and initiatives that deliver the greatest value for customers and the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and embed a fit-for-purpose Product Management operating model.
- Develop robust product discovery, validation and prioritisation processes.
- Introduce clear ownership and accountability for product direction.
- Create transparent product roadmaps aligned to strategic objectives.
- Establish governance, planning rhythms and decision-making frameworks.
- Partner with Technology, Operations and Commercial teams to improve collaboration and delivery effectiveness.
- Champion customer-led, evidence-based product decisions.
- Develop Product capability across the organisation, including future team design and coaching.
You'll be an experienced Product leader who enjoys creating structure in evolving organisations and influencing change across senior stakeholders. You'll likely bring:
- Experience building or transforming a Product Management function.
- A strong understanding of modern Product Management practices, operating models and governance.
- Experience balancing customer needs, commercial priorities and delivery capability.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the confidence to challenge constructively at Executive level.
- A track record of introducing effective prioritisation and decision-making frameworks.
- Experience leading digital products, learning products, membership services or comparable customer-focused product portfolios.
- Strong commercial awareness and an outcome-driven mindset.
- The ability to influence organisational change without disrupting delivery.
Why Apply?
This is far more than a traditional Product Director role.
You'll have the opportunity to shape how an organisation thinks about Product, influence strategic investment decisions and leave a lasting legacy by building a Product function that supports long-term growth.
If you're looking for a role where you can combine strategic leadership, organisational transformation and customer-focused Product Management, we'd love to hear from you.
