At Instem, you’ll empower pharmaceutical companies, CROs, government agencies and academic institutions by providing cutting‑edge SaaS solutions and consultancy services designed to help researchers make discoveries and accelerate and advance their research programs. You’ll work with technology that supports over 50% of global drug discovery and is trusted by leading pharmaceutical, biotech and CRO organisations worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end preparation of Group consolidated financial reports, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and audit readiness.
- Prepare the Group’s consolidated financial statements for audit, including year‑end schedules.
- Prepare statutory accounts for all group companies under IFRS.
- Liaise directly with group auditors to provide supporting information for a smooth audit process.
- Review and finalise international reporting and filing obligations, working with third‑party providers to ensure compliance.
- Participate in liquidity planning, forecasting and covenant reporting.
Technical Compliance
- Serve as Group’s technical accounting lead, ensuring adherence to IFRS and best‑practice financial standards.
- Translate complex financial concepts into clear, actionable insights for senior leaders and non‑finance stakeholders.
- Drive commercial and other value drivers by utilising technical provisions to maximise financial results.
M&A and Special Projects
- Support acquisition accounting, including purchase price allocation and Fair Value assessments for M&A activity.
- Support the Group’s growth agenda by managing high‑priority, cross‑functional projects within a dynamic PE‑backed process.
Process Adherence
- Champion adherence to the Company’s Quality Management System, ensuring all work is delivered with rigour, professionalism and strong governance.
- Identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes, strengthen controls and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CI MA or equivalent).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Extensive experience consolidating multi‑currency, multi‑jurisdictional international groups.
- Deep technical proficiency in IFRS.
- Experience within SaaS or subscription‑based business models highly preferred.
- Outstanding communication, stakeholder‑management and organisational skills.
- Advanced Excel capability and strong overall IT literacy.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and their application in a finance environment.
