Location: Stone, Staffordshire. Reporting to our Stone office twice a week.

What to expect?

  • Combines communication and technical skills to collaborate with others on the development of computer-based training aligned with business needs.
  • Maximizes the use of technology and design principles in developing functionally engaging eLearning content and educates current staff on eLearning trends.
  • Foster collaborative and productive ways of work to engage with other members of the Education Services team to ensure deadlines are met, training content is accurate, and of high quality.
  • Ensures that the content, associated media, and interfaces all work seamlessly to provide learners with a valuable learning experience.
  • Educates new content creators on the Instructional Design principles of the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implement, Evaluation) and UX (User Experience).
  • Keeping with continuous process improvement principles, anticipates and plans for future eLearning content development.
  • Help transform, maintain, and keep current Instem University content.
  • Produces and maintains supporting reference documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer of eLearning processes.
  • Supports and executes internal projects for Education Services.
  • Collaborates with Marketing to maintain brand standards for eLearning content and ensure content is consistent and engaging.
  • Serve as eLearning SME; staying current with eLearning trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Adherence to the Company’s Quality Management System to ensure that all work is handled Securely, Professionally and Diligently.

Skills / Experience you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, E-Learning/Technology or related field.
  • Experienced in learning management system (LMS) e-Learning development, curriculum design, and/or instructional design in a corporate setting that includes UX design.
  • Documented experience in media editing and publishing, particularly videos, tutorials or screencasts.
  • Proficiency with Articulate 360, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva; Microsoft Office Suite, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Proficiency with web-based LMS, particularly Cornerstone On-Demand.
  • Demonstrated expertise in adult learning theory and familiarity with the ADDIE, Kirkpatrick and SAM models of instructional design.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and their application to tasks associated with proprietary eLearning.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to details, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Creative, innovative course creator familiar with instructional design best practices.
  • Knowledge of our Quality Management System and its application to tasks associated with this role.
