InstaStaff are currently recruiting for a Press Brake Setter Operator to join a manufacturing company based in Aston. This role will be on a 6-8 temporary basis.

The duties of the Press Brake Setter Operator will be:

  • Setting up and operating press brake machinery
  • Interpreting blueprints and engineering plans
  • Selecting, positioning, and aligning dies
  • Conducting pre-operation inspections
  • Running the machine to bend metal sheets and laser blanks as per the job requirement
  • Monitoring the machine to ensure it functions correctly and that there are no errors during the operation
  • Inspecting the finished pieces to ensure they meet the required dimensions and tolerances
  • Reporting any quality issues to the relevant Management
  • Conducting regular inspections to ensure machinery operates smoothly
  • Identifying and resolving any machine problems to reduce downtime
  • Calculating bend allowances
  • Adjusting machine settings for material thickness and bend angles
  • Operating CNC (Computer Numerical Control) press brakes and software, where applicable

The ideal Press Brake Setter Operator will have:

  • At least 3 years' experience in Press Brake Operating plus general engineering work
  • Familiar with CAD/CAM software
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Some knowledge of programming reading and an understanding of drawings & models
  • The ability to operate multiple machines simultaneously
