InstaStaff are currently recruiting for Ticket Conductors to work on the tram system around the Black Country and Birmingham. This role will be a 4-month contract, and it will be to start immediately.

There will be a working pattern of 3 different shifts:

  • Early: 4am - 12pm
  • Mid: 10am - 8pm
  • Late: 3pm - 2am

You will be working out the Wednesbury depot and will cover various locations around the area.

The duties of the Ticket Conductors include:

  • Delivering excellent customer service
  • Managing ticket sales onboard trams
  • Checking tickets and passes
  • Selling tickets where necessary
  • Ensuring a positive customer experience for all passengers

Shifts are structured in 4-hour blocks with a 45-minute break in between. Full training will be provided over one week, covering track safety, accident management, relevant systems, and on-the-job shadowing with experienced Metro colleagues.

Successful candidates will have previous experience in a customer-facing role, demonstrate strong customer service skills, possess good numeracy for cash handling responsibilities, and always maintain a professional and positive approach.

The ideal Ticket Conductors will have:

  • Experience within a face-to-face customer service role
  • The ability to speak to people face to face
  • Clean, basic DBS

The salary for the Ticket Conductors will be £13.45 per hour.
