Class 2 Driver (Heavy Haulage) - Glasgow Area Location: G69
Pay: £16.00 per hour + £0.50 per hour HIAB enhancement
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00
Overtime opportunities available through early starts and occasional late finishes
About the Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 Driver to join our clients team based in the Glasgow area. This role involves delivering and collecting heavy haulage loads, with the majority of deliveries ranging between 10-15 tonnes .
Typically, drivers will complete 1-2 deliveries and 1-2 collections per day , allowing for a focused and professional approach to each load.
Requirements Valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence
Previous heavy haulage experience essential
CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
Experience with load securing and strapping down loads preferred
HIAB licence advantageous (additional £0.50 per hour paid for HIAB-qualified drivers)
Strong commitment to safety and compliance
Training & Support For drivers new to our operation, we provide:
Comprehensive driving assessments
Buddy system with experienced drivers
Ongoing support and training to ensure safe load securing and company procedures are followed
