About Instant Swim
Instant Swim is a performance swimwear brand designed for girls getting into swimming, or returning to it. We create swimwear that blends performance and aesthetics, built for training but designed to feel confident in. Founded by a former competitive swimmer, Instant Swim has grown rapidly into a global brand, with customers across the UK, US, and Australia. As we scale towards £3M+ in annual revenue, we are looking for our first hire to help drive the next stage of growth.
The Role
We are looking for a commercially-minded E-commerce Merchandiser & Inventory Planner to take ownership of stock planning, forecasting, and website merchandising. This is a hands-on role at the core of the business - you will be responsible for ensuring we have the right products, in the right quantities, at the right time, while also optimising how they are presented on our website. You will work closely with the founder and have real impact from day one.
What You Will Be Doing
- Stock Planning & Forecasting (Core Focus)
- Analyse weekly sales performance across products, sizes, and regions
- Forecast demand based on growth targets and historical data
- Plan stock levels and reorders to avoid stockouts and overstock
- Identify risks and opportunities early (e.g. bestsellers, slow movers)
- Buying & Range Support
- Support production planning and order quantities
- Help shape product decisions based on performance data
- Contribute to launch planning for new drops and collections
- Website Merchandising (Shopify)
- Manage and update the website (product pages, collections, homepage)
- Ensure bestsellers and key products are prioritised
- Optimise product merchandising based on performance and customer behaviour
- Support product launches and campaign updates
- Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Build and maintain weekly reporting on sales, stock, and performance
- Track revenue vs targets and stock cover
- Continuously look for ways to improve conversion and product performance
What We Are Looking For
- 1–3 years experience in e-commerce, merchandising, buying, or a similar role
- Strong analytical skills (comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets)
- Commercial mindset - you think in terms of revenue, not just tasks
- Highly organised and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
- Interest in fashion, sportswear, or wellness is a plus
Why Join
- Work directly with the founder and have real ownership
- Be part of a fast-growing brand with global customers
- Opportunity to grow into a senior role as the company scales
- Make a tangible impact on revenue and product decisions
Salary
£30,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience) + performance-based bonus
If you are excited about building something from the ground up and want to play a key role in scaling a brand, we would love to hear from you.
