Our client, a UK-based law firm focused on purpose-driven legal work for charities, social enterprises, and public sector clients, seeks a Legal Secretary to support their commitment to impactful change.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal and factual research, identify relevant laws, and ensure all necessary information is considered.
- Prepare and review legal documents, correspondence, and application packs, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Support partners and fee earners in managing case files, maintaining professionalism, and adhering to confidentiality standards.
- Assist in providing high-quality legal service, manage client expectations, and maintain strong client relationships.
- Draft legally accurate advice letters, attendance notes, and updates under supervision, ensuring clarity and precision.
- Communicate effectively with clients, including high-profile individuals, and handle inquiries under supervision.
- Research immigration case law, legislation, and overseas procedures, applying findings to achieve client objectives.
About You
You will be an experienced immigration paralegal, confident in providing comprehensive legal support and administration to partners, fee earners, and other legal professionals including:
- A comprehensive understanding of business and sponsorship-based immigration routes.
- Proven experience preparing sponsorship applications, work visas, assembling application packs, uploading supporting documents, and drafting cover letters using templates.
- Strong familiarity with personal immigration pathways and the structure of immigration rules.

Our top-ranked Immigration department handles all aspects of immigration and nationality law, providing bespoke solutions across business and personal immigration matters. The team brings a wealth of experience, advising multinational corporations, businesses, charities, non-profit organizations, as well as individuals and families. This role will require close collaboration with a team of two partners, four lawyers, a trainee, and two paralegals, working together to support a diverse and exciting practice.
