We are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our small, purpose-driven HR team. This role offers a broad variety of responsibilities, from managing HR systems and supporting payroll to overseeing onboarding, offboarding, and benefits administration. You’ll have the opportunity to grow, own projects, and work in a fast-paced environment with an ambitious agenda for change.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for the HRIS, managing employee records, responding to queries, and ensuring compliance with HR policies.
- Provide day-to-day HR support, including managing queries, maintaining records, assisting with recruitment, appraisals, training, family leave letters, inductions, and ad hoc projects.
- Assist with payroll processing, including documentation, tracking overtime, and ensuring accuracy in payroll data.
- Manage joiners and leavers processes, including drafting contracts, coordinating inductions and exit interviews, and ensuring compliance with HR policies.
- Support employee benefits administration, including enrolment, updating records, and assisting with initiatives to enhance employee experience.
About You
- Experience in an HR administrative/coordinator role with a strong foundation in HR systems and processes.
- Proven ability to deliver excellent service, handling queries and resolving issues professionally.
- Attention to detail in compliance with HR policies and a passion for building a career in HR.
- Knowledge of payroll processing, data management, and experience in professional services (law firm experience is a plus).
- Collaborative team player with strong organizational skills.
