Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Grounds Maintenance Operative, based in the Greater Glasgow Area. The role involves maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of outdoor spaces, including tasks such as lawn care, hedge trimming, planting, and general landscaping. Additional responsibilities include identifying and addressing maintenance needs, operating landscaping equipment, and assisting with seasonal tasks such as gritting or snow clearance to ensure safe and visually appealing outdoor environments.
Qualifications
- Experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or horticulture with a strong understanding of tools and equipment maintenance
- Skills in weed control, planting, and tree or hedge maintenance
- Proficiency in operating tools and machinery, such as mowers, strimmers, and hedge trimmers
- Ability to perform outdoor physical work in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Full, valid UK driving license is preferred
- Knowledge of health and safety standards and procedures is an advantage
- Relevant certifications in horticulture or landscaping are essential PA1 & PA6
