Job summary

Job Title: Specialist Respiratory Physiologist

Hours per week: 37.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday: 4-day week) (compressed hours available too)

Perm/Fixed Term: Permanent

Salary: £30,970 – £45,618 per annum pro rata (dependent on experience)

This position may be offered at a Band 5 with progression to Band 6, subject to the successful candidate achieving sufficient competencies for a Band 6 role.

Main duties of the job

  • We are looking to appoint a dynamic and well-motivated qualified band 6 Respiratory Physiologist, with the relevant experience to join our busy Cardio-Respiratory department. The successful candidate will expect to be an effective member of the Respiratory team providing a high standard of physiological measurements including a wide range of basic and advanced respiratory, sleep and oesophageal services and patient care to both out-patients and in-patients.
  • We are looking for an experienced clinical physiologist with significant experience, with their ARTP part 1 and 2 qualification or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years post qualification in a lung function and sleep setting. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and proactive, able to communicate with a range of disciplines, medical and nursing staff. Able to demonstrate good organisational skills able, to multitask and prioritise effectively and deputise in the absence of the Lead Respiratory Physiologist.
