The Accounts Administrator will support the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accurate processing, reconciliation, and maintenance of financial records. This role is focused on transactional finance and requires a high level of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing supplier and customer invoices accurately and efficiently using SimPro
- Ensuring all financial transactions are correctly posted and reconciled between SimPro and Xero
- Carrying out regular bank reconciliations in Xero
- Managing credit control, including monitoring outstanding balances and chasing overdue payments
- Reconciling supplier statements and preparing payment runs
- Managing the accounts inbox and responding to queries in a timely and professional manner
- Handling incoming accounts-related telephone enquiries
- Liaising with internal teams to resolve discrepancies, missing information, and job cost queries
Skills and Experience Required
- Previous experience in an accounts or finance administration role
- Strong working knowledge of Xero (essential)
- Experience with SimPro or similar job management systems (desirable)
- High level of attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Strong organisational and time management skills
