The Accounts Administrator will support the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accurate processing, reconciliation, and maintenance of financial records. This role is focused on transactional finance and requires a high level of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing supplier and customer invoices accurately and efficiently using SimPro
  • Ensuring all financial transactions are correctly posted and reconciled between SimPro and Xero
  • Carrying out regular bank reconciliations in Xero
  • Managing credit control, including monitoring outstanding balances and chasing overdue payments
  • Reconciling supplier statements and preparing payment runs
  • Managing the accounts inbox and responding to queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Handling incoming accounts-related telephone enquiries
  • Liaising with internal teams to resolve discrepancies, missing information, and job cost queries

Skills and Experience Required

  • Previous experience in an accounts or finance administration role
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero (essential)
  • Experience with SimPro or similar job management systems (desirable)
  • High level of attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Confident communicator with a professional and proactive approach

Additional Information

This role is focused on transactional and day-to-day accounts administration. Month-end, year-end, and higher-level financial reporting are handled externally, allowing you to focus on core finance operations within a clear and supported structure.
