Male Support Worker

Job Overview: • To effectively support the Team Leaders and Managers in leading and guiding support staff, while ensuring that the medical and physical needs of Service Users are adequately addressed. • Understand home health and safety requirements, guide support workers in meeting standards, and assist team leaders and managers in compliance. • To guide support workers in maintaining care skills, completing training, and developing current care practices. • Ensure that all paperwork related to the operation of the home meets high standards, remains up-to-date, and complies with GDPR guidelines. Key Responsibilities: •Lead support workers in performing routine duties and providing a high standard of care to service users, ensuring their wishes and preferences are prioritised. • To supervise staff and ensure that all team members perform efficiently in running the service. • Take responsibility for promoting and protecting the welfare of individuals supported by the service, as w ell as visitors and other team members. • To promote and ensure effective, healthy working relationships with other employees within the service. • Collaborate with members of multidisciplinary teams to ensure that opportunities for service users are maximised. Skills and Qualification: Previous experience working in a care or support worker role Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as a part of a team Willing to work shifts ,including weekends and night Relevant care qualifications such as NVQ/Level 3 in Health and Social Care are desirable A full UK driving licence is required.
