The Role

We are looking for a dynamic and driven Business Analyst with a flexible approach who would be responsible for gathering, documenting and elaborating requirements for both client facing and internal development projects and providing client support for the INSTANDA platform. The ideal candidate should have an analytical mindset and excellent communication skills to ensure the smooth delivery of our solution to our clients. This role is perfect for someone who wants to experience working for a scaling tech company and be instrumental in helping our business thrive. This is a UK based role, primarily remote working with travel required to our London Office for monthly team meetings. This role will require occasional travel to client sites in other parts of the UK and overseas.

What you will do

  • Full immersion on INSTANDA platform: your success in this role is directly correlated to learning, understanding and developing substantial knowledge of it.
  • Conduct interviews and workshops with our clients and stakeholders to clarify requirements.
  • Effectively capture, understand, define and document functional and non-functional business requirements that gather the client’s key criteria and technical requirements, and align these to our commercial and technical considerations.
  • Support the creation of requirements artifacts, including process maps, user journeys, use cases, acceptance criteria, and other supporting documentation.
  • Partner with our service delivery and engineering teams to support design and sign off potential new functionalities.
  • Support the UAT process of the INSTANDA configuration and new functionalities.
  • Take a hands-on approach to troubleshooting.
  • Adhere to INSTANDA’s information security policies, guidelines, and best practices to protect our company and our clients.
  • Contribute to a culture of security awareness within the company.

Essential

  • A minimum of 2+ years’ experience working as a Business Analyst, preferably within a technology-led or SaaS environment.
  • Proven experience within the insurance domain, with a strong understanding of insurance products, processes, and regulatory considerations.
  • Demonstrable experience working across the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and discovery through to delivery, testing, and post-implementation support.
  • Experience collaborating closely with cross-functional development teams (including Product Owners, Developers, Testers, and Architects) as well as engaging directly with external clients and partners.
  • Demonstrated experience using Jira or equivalent tools to create, refine, and manage user stories, ensuring clear, well-structured requirements that support effective delivery and collaboration across stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships, manage expectations, and communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Solid experience working within Agile delivery environments, including Scrum and sprint-based delivery.
  • Proven ability in process and systems analysis, translating business requirements into clear, well-defined user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting artifacts for inclusion in sprint back-logs.
  • Ability to produce clear, concise, and well-structured documentation, such as process maps, user journeys, user flows, and requirements documents, to support successful client delivery and internal alignment.
  • Confident and effective communicator, comfortable presenting and facilitating discussions with clients, partner organisations, and internal stakeholders across INSTANDA.

Desirable

  • Experience of SaaS or platform technology solutions will be a distinct advantage.
