Installio is on the hunt for an enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic team as a Heat Pump and Solar surveyor and designer, ready to help tackle the UK’s net-zero transition. Tasks
- Lead technical site surveys (on-site) to assess heat pump suitability
- Conduct detailed heat loss calculations and system sizing
- Provide technical guidance to installation teams and project managers
- Support the development of survey and design processes and tools
- Troubleshoot and refine designs based on real-world feedback from installs
- Stay current with industry standards, products, and best practices
Requirements
- You’ll be an experienced renewables engineer with knowledge of heating system design and the ability to fault find.
- Proven experience in heat pump systems
- Strong understanding of building fabric, heat loss, and hydronic systems
- Great with customers
- Familiarity with MCS standards and compliance requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to balance efficiency with accuracy
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment
- Willing to drive to up to 2 surveys each day
- Clean UK driving licence
- Preferable: NVQ 3 or above qualification in plumbing or heating
- BPEC or equivalent qualification in heat pump design
- Experience leading a team or managing technical workflows
