About Installio

Residential heating, power, and storage sit at the core of the UK's net‑zero transition. Heating alone drives 17% of UK carbon emissions, yet just 1% of homes use heat pumps – and the shift to electrified, self‑generating homes is only accelerating. With £20B+ of market growth on the horizon and government support behind adoption, the opportunity is generational.

At Installio, we’re tackling the biggest barrier to scale: installation. We started with air‑source heat pumps and have expanded into Solar PV and battery storage, delivering a whole‑home clean energy stack. Our mission is to unlock the UK’s green‑collar workforce using technology to enable faster, better, and more scalable installs.

We work directly with homeowners and also on behalf of major B2B partners including Good Energy, So Energy, SMS, and NIBE – driving the green revolution through volume deployment, not one‑off jobs. As experienced third‑time founders (ex‑McKinsey, ex‑Bloomberg), we’re backed by VC and industry leaders, embedded with major B2B players, growing fast, and just getting started.

The role

You’ll be the bridge between product and the rest of the company – working directly with our co‑founders and CTO to translate operational, commercial, and partner needs into shipped tooling. This is a high‑exposure, high‑responsibility role for someone with a strong technical background and the ability to move fast.

Think of this as a Swiss army knife: one day you’re spinning up an internal tool to unblock ops, the next you’re deploying an AI workflow that removes hours of manual work and you’re sitting in a partner review helping shape the product roadmap. You’ll get your hands dirty – in code and in the business.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as the connector between our product team and ops, commercial, and partners
  • Spin up internal tools, scripts, and prototypes to solve business problems quickly
  • Use AI to improve company productivity (automation, agents, data)
  • Own and drive cross‑functional technical projects end‑to‑end
  • Translate partner and operational requirements into clear product briefs
  • Represent Installio in technical conversations with partners, suppliers, and stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

  • Highly motivated self‑starter
  • Hands‑on experience building with AI and working with data
  • Comfortable with code & data – professional experience not required but a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and commercial judgement
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and wearing multiple hats
  • 1–3 years’ experience in product, engineering, startups, or similar
  • Excellent written and verbal communication – able to translate between technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Passion for climate tech and clean energy

What You’ll Get

  • Competitive salary, £40–60k and meaningful equity
  • A front‑row seat in a fast‑scaling, mission‑driven startup
  • Direct exposure to founders, CTO, and strategic decision‑making
  • A mandate to ship internal tooling, automations and AI across the company
  • Opportunities to grow into a leadership role (product, engineering, or operations) as we scale
  • Hybrid work environment with a central London HQ
