Headquartered in Woodley just east of Reading, it has offices in Victoria, Belfast and Woolwich.
Required Skills
- An industry standard project management method (such as Prince 2)
- Knowledge of Risk assessment (2 years as a minimum)
- Be aware of CDM 2015 & current HSE legislation infrastructure Standards
- Advanced Computer / Tablet skills (Word - Excel - PowerPoint)
- Excellent Communication skills (both verbal and written)
- CAD skills
- Knowledge of TFL or LU Client’s Site Rules and Standards
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads
Desirable Skills and Abilities
- Some field engineering experience in both Cat 5/5e/6/6a & fibre installation, terminating and testing will be a bonus
- Some experience in CMS installation management will be a bonus
- Sentinel with ICI will be a bonus
- Full UK driving licence
Job Description
Installation Technology (IT) have been providing network solutions for over 30 years. We work with some of the biggest organisations in education, healthcare and transport. We are looking for a Project Manager based primarily at customer sites and company’s offices in London managing the end to end implementation of projects for Installation Technology, safely and to time, quality and budget, achieving the required customer outcomes.
The Project Manager will demonstrate excellent project management skills, built on a firm understanding of industry-standard project management methods and tooling, underpinned by a technical background in Information Technology and/or engineering installation.
Requirements
- Manage the end to end delivery of projects, typically of value up to £500k, safely, to quality, on time, & within budget through to the required delivery outcomes and customer acceptance
- Ensure all delivery activity complies with both the required customer standards and Installation Technology’s wider regulatory and statutory obligations
- Create and maintain all necessary project documentation (including drawings, test results and work completion certificates) in the customer and/or Installation Technology document management systems
- Ensure the successful handover of projects into service, where applicable
- Manage the project’s day to day health, safety & environmental regime
- Act as the primary customer contact of the project, proactively manage customer expectations during delivery and achieve customer satisfaction with the resulting project outcomes
- Deliver customer and internal project reporting as required
- Proactively manage project risks and issues and maintain a register of these risks and issues
- Work with the Finance Team to ensure customer payments are secured on a timely basis and in accordance with the delivery schedule
- Manage the Lead Engineers in the delivery of all site works and ensure all documentation is delivered and maintained (including daily site reports and test results)
- Compile RAMS and submit to Workforce Planning Manager/HSQE manager for approval within the required time frame (a minimum of 48 hours prior to work commencing)
- Apply for Permits and Space applications with the relevant customer bodies
- Liaise with operations for resources, training & logistics required
- Liaise with the HSQE manager and ensure company complies with current CDM regulations
- Manage all materials requirements for their projects, submit Bill of Materials (form) to the Logistics Department within the required time frame and ensure distribution of materials to engineers for each shift
- Carry out incident follow up actions when required
- Consult with Project Engineers daily on all project activity, as applicable
