InstallPros are UK-based technology installation specialists. We provide Security as a Service, professionally installing Hikvision CCTV and Ajax intruder alarm systems for residential and commercial clients. Our offerings also include Starlink & Networking solutions, such as satellite internet, structured networking, and Wi-Fi optimisation for homes and businesses where traditional broadband falls short.

Demand across both divisions is strong, our pipeline is full, and we're expanding our remote sales team to convert it. We're looking for an experienced security systems sales professional to take ownership of inbound enquiries and close installations for Hikvision CCTV and Ajax intruder alarms, with the additional opportunity to sell Starlink and networking solutions to a large customer base.

This is a 100% remote, commission-only role. You'll be working with a high volume of pre-qualified inbound leads—customers who have actively enquired about CCTV, intruder alarms, Starlink, or networking. Your job is to understand their requirements, specify the right system, and close the sale.

Security will be your primary focus and the bulk of your pipeline. Starlink and networking sit alongside it, as many security customers also need connectivity solutions, particularly on commercial sites and rural residential properties. Installations typically range from several thousand pounds to five-figure jobs, especially on the commercial side, so commission per deal is substantial.

  • Converting pre-qualified inbound enquiries across Security, Starlink, and Networking.
  • Scoping residential and commercial security requirements over the phone and via virtual surveys (Google Earth).
  • Specifying appropriate Hikvision CCTV and Ajax alarm configurations based on site needs.
  • Identifying cross-sell opportunities for Starlink and networking on existing security jobs (and vice versa).
  • Managing the sales pipeline through our CRM.
  • Coordinating with our installation teams to book jobs efficiently.

This role is not suitable for general sales generalists or reps without security or telecommunications experience. Candidates should have:

  • Proven sales experience in the security or telecommunications industry—CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, or monitored security, networking/IT, broadband, etc.
  • The ability to confidently scope a security system from a customer brief (camera counts, coverage, NVR sizing, alarm zoning, etc.).
  • A track record of closing residential and/or commercial security or broadband installations.
  • Strong phone-based consultative selling skills.
  • Experience working to KPIs and managing a pipeline through CRM.
  • Direct experience selling Hikvision CCTV product lines and Ajax intruder alarm systems.
  • Experience handling both residential and commercial accounts.
  • A basic understanding of networking and Wi-Fi requirements (helpful for cross-selling).
  • Any prior exposure to Starlink, broadband, or connectivity solutions is a bonus, not a requirement—we'll provide product & sales training.

Compensation includes:

  • £50 per base sale + 10% of net profit on every installation—applies across Security, Starlink, and Networking.
  • Both residential and commercial security jobs commonly run from £2,000 to £15,000+, meaning meaningful commission per deal.
  • Starlink and networking add-ons increase deal value and total commission per customer.
  • Performance bonuses available.
  • Realistic earnings reflect both deal volume and deal size—strong closers earn significantly more per sale than typical telecoms commission structures allow.
  • Commission payment is bi-weekly.

There are opportunities to progress into Senior Sales or Sales Manager positions, with management roles earned on performance, not tenure. The sales process is simple and fast, and the role is fully remote—work from anywhere in the UK.

Applications without demonstrable security systems sales experience will not be reviewed. General telecoms, broadband, or IT sales backgrounds still qualify for this role.
