Business Services have an exciting opportunity to appoint various Grade 3 Business Services Assistants to join our team supporting Durham County Council's Adult Care Teams. Full time, part time, permanent and temporary contracts available.
The roles will provide support to one of the Learning Disabilities, Locality or County-wide Occupational Therapy and Sensory Support Service Teams. The Adult Health Services Teams ensure that the social care needs of people are fully assessed under the Care Act and that the services are delivered, monitored and reviewed in accordance with agreed care plans.
Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day administrative support, manage calls, inboxes and digital mail, and maintain accurate electronic records.
- Process referrals, applications and invoices, and liaise with a wide range of external agencies.
- Support confidential work, track activity and expenditure, and assist with customer-facing services.
- Embrace new ways of working, including AI tools.
- Work as part of an administrative support team within the Council’s hybrid model between your home address and another base within County Durham.
- Deliver a professional administrative service to frontline teams.
- Hold 4 GCSEs (including English Language or Literature).
- NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration (or equivalent).
