Our Proper Jobs: Fresh Start Programme lasts for up to 2 years. It combines learning in the workplace, formal off-the-job training and online learning.

After 13 weeks, you’ll progress to a a Butchery Apprentice, and through the apprenticeship we’ll help you learn about knife skills so you’re able to prepare meat primals through cutting, mincing, and dicing. You'll also learn about the different animal species we work with, and the techniques you need to produce and process meat products.

You will be providing a friendly and helpful service to all our customers, whilst you develop through your apprenticeship programme.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start their career and gain qualifications while earning.

Ideal for college or sixth-form leavers seeking their first step into the workplace.

No previous experience required – full training and support will be provided through the apprenticeship programme - you’ll just need the ability to be trained to use the equipment required and the ability to be trained to prepare fresh items.

We welcome applications from people at the beginning of their career journey who want to learn and develop.

This apprenticeship provides structured training and dedicated support, making it particularly attractive to those entering the workplace.
