We are looking for a motivated and reliable Data Technician Apprentice to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in data and business administration while gaining practical workplace experience and working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Job Role

As a Data Technician Apprentice, your main responsibility will be to help maintain accurate and up-to-date information on our company systems.

You will work with different departments to input, check and update data relating to products, pricing, suppliers, customers and other areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Entering product and business data accurately onto the company system
  • Creating and updating product records
  • Updating prices, product descriptions and other information
  • Checking data for accuracy and correcting errors
  • Maintaining accurate spreadsheets and databases
  • Uploading information from spreadsheets onto internal systems
  • Assisting with new product setup
  • Checking for missing, duplicated or incorrect information
  • Producing basic reports when required
  • Using Microsoft Excel and other business software
  • Working with different departments to obtain and verify information
  • Maintaining confidentiality when handling company and customer data
  • Carrying out general administrative duties relating to data management

What You Will Learn

As an apprentice you’ll:

  • complete a L3 Data Technician apprenticeship standard
  • have regular remote one to one sessions with a dedicated digital skills trainer
  • learn and train for a specific job
  • get paid and receive holiday leave
  • get hands-on experience in a real job
  • study for 6 hours of your working hours
  • complete assessments during and at the end of your apprenticeship
