Kew Green Hotels / Holiday Inn Rugby is presenting an opportunity for a candidate to enrol in a Line Chef Apprenticeship as part of their job application. In this role, you will be responsible for producing all menu items efficiently and consistently while following company specifications and always adhering to Health & Food Safety requirements.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Supporting your kitchen team, you will be responsible for delivering an efficient, effective and profitable kitchen service, with a primary focus on a key assigned area of responsibility and ensuring brand standards are met.
- Produce menu items consistently to a high standard in line with company specifications, recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Prepare and cook food using approved methods, including grilling, frying, sautéing and other techniques as required.
- Support the delivery of a positive guest experience through quality, consistency and attention to detail.
- Facilitate special guest requests when received, supporting guest satisfaction wherever possible.
- Take pride in personal performance and contribute positively to kitchen morale and service delivery.
- Follow all kitchen Standard Operating Procedures at all times.
- Set up and stock food items and other necessary supplies correctly for service.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment and food preparation areas throughout each shift.
- Clean and sanitise cooking surfaces and equipment frequently and in line with SOPs.
- Perform inventory checks and complete food storage and temperature logs accurately.
- Manage wastage through correct product measurement, portion control and preparation techniques.
- Use ingredients, equipment and supplies responsibly to minimise waste and support cost control.
- Support efficient kitchen operations through good organisation, preparation and time management.
