We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Veterinary Care Assistant to join our team at Spring Lodge Vets on a full-time basis.

As this role involves client interactions applicants must have good communication skills both on the phone and in person.

Due to company vehicles must hold a full manual driving licence and have done for a year- driving non negotiable part of the role.

How You'll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the clinical team to deliver high standards of patient and client care, while helping to ensure the practice environment runs smoothly and safely.

Working under the direction of a Veterinary Surgeon or Registered Veterinary Nurse, you'll support inpatient care, assist with patient handling and restraint, help maintain clinical areas and equipment, and contribute to a positive and compassionate experience for both patients and clients.

Working Pattern

This is a very rewarding role, comprising of 40 hours per week, with a 1:4 Saturday morning shift on a shared rota.

Shifts are between 7:30am and 7:30pm and will be split across the hospital in Witham and the other 5 surrounding branches.

  • Animal handling
  • Full Reception duties
  • Cleaning and Infection control of equipment and examination areas
  • Laundry
  • Laboratory work to name a few.
