We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-oriented Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Park Veterinary Centre on a part-time basis. Park Veterinary Centre has been a trusted part of the Hertfordshire community for over 100 years. Our Leavesden branch is a consulting-only clinic with a welcoming and supportive atmosphere, while our larger Watford site provides full surgical and medical facilities, including laparoscopy, endoscopy, ultrasound, digital and dental X-ray and advanced monitoring equipment. We are proud to be an RCVS GP Training Practice and place a strong emphasis on teamwork, client care and professional development.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. This role offers approximately 22 to 25 hours per week. We will require at least one long day from 8.30 am to 7 pm, one or two Saturday mornings from 8.30 am to 1 pm every four weeks, plus additional weekday mornings. We are happy to discuss the remaining hours to create a pattern that works well for both you and the team. There is also the option to pick up extra hours to help cover annual leave.

General responsibilities include:

  • Playing a key role in supporting our consulting-only service at Leavesden.
  • Assisting the vet with appointments.
  • Running nurse clinics.
  • Offering advice to clients and ensuring every owner and pet receives excellent care.
  • Helping coordinate any cases that need transferring to our fully equipped Watford hospital.
