Job Overview An opportunity has arisen for an Internal Medicine Clinician to join our existing highly competent team.
Full and part‑time rota patterns will be considered, with a minimum of 3 days per week.
Your role will involve investigating and managing a wide variety of internal medicine cases, and communicating with clients and referring vets.
Bath Veterinary Referrals is a well‑established multidisciplinary referral centre based at Rosemary Lodge Veterinary Hospital in the World Heritage City of Bath.
We offer referrals in small animal medicine, soft tissue surgery, orthopaedic surgery, neurology, spinal surgery, cardiology, ophthalmology and rehabilitation.
The internal medicine team are experienced in all aspects of feline and canine medicine.
We work closely alongside our surgical team and are also actively involved in the diagnostic imaging of our own cases.
We are involved in the investigation and treatment of oncological and neurological cases and have a dedicated team of referral nurses assisting us with the inpatients.
We also have a separate large and modern cattery which is ICC (International Cat Care) accredited, located on a different wing to reduce stress in our feline patients.

Responsibilities You will join a team of seven Advanced Practitioners and help develop the referral service and deliver outstanding patient and client care.
You will also demonstrate a passion for supporting the development of colleagues through mentoring, supervision, and knowledge sharing.
Your contribution will support efficient running of the service, maintain high clinical standards, and continuous improvement.
You will also support an Advanced Practitioner trainee who will rely on you for guidance, and participate in an on‑call rota (3–4 days per week, 9.5 hours per day, totaling 28.5–38 hours per week).
You will be expected to investigate, diagnose, and treat internal medicine cases in both feline and canine patients, and collaborate with referring veterinarians and multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications A Veterinary degree with RCVS registration, and Advanced Practitioner status.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with referring vets, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.
Experience supporting, mentoring, or supervising colleagues.
