Deane Vets is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our busy, welcoming first-opinion practice, where no two days are quite the same. With a wonderfully varied caseload that includes cats, dogs, rabbits, small furries and even the occasional tortoise, this is a fantastic opportunity for a vet who enjoys the diversity and rewards of general practice.

The role offers an excellent balance of consultations and surgery, with flexibility available for those who would prefer a predominantly consulting position. Whether you're diagnosing complex medical cases, performing routine procedures or building long-term relationships with clients, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care and client service.

As a Primary Care Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload. You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

Working Pattern
  • Full-time hours worked across four days
  • Working hours between 8:30am and 7:00pm
  • Part-time applications welcomed
  • 1 in 6 Saturdays, 8:00am-1:00pm
  • No out-of-hours commitment
You Might Be a Great Fit If...
  • A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
  • Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
