Mainstone Veterinary Clinic in Romsey, Hampshire is seeking a confident Veterinary Surgeon to join our supportive team. We offer a salary of up to £65,000 DOE, a welcome bonus of up to £5,000, and a relocation allowance of up to £5,000.

Our practice has a strong community reputation and provides a varied small animal caseload, including cats, dogs, small furries, and occasional wildlife cases. Your week will include a balanced mix of consultations and surgery, with opportunities to see orthopaedic and emergency cases alongside routine work.

We have invested significantly in our facilities, which include:

  • Multiparameter monitoring in both theatre and dental
  • Doppler blood pressure monitoring
  • Syringe drivers and multiple infusion pumps
  • Comprehensive in-house IDEXX laboratory equipment
  • A floating X-ray table
  • A dedicated dental suite with dental radiography

We are proud to hold Silver Cat Friendly status, with dedicated cat-only clinic times designed to create a calm environment for our feline patients.

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver high standards of patient and client care. You will continue to develop your clinical skills while sharing your knowledge with colleagues.

This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week, with one in four Saturday mornings from 8:30am to 12:30pm. There is no out-of-hours work, and part-time applications are welcomed.

  • A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
  • Experience in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
