Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists is a specialist-led, referral-only hospital located in the heart of the New Forest, offering advanced veterinary care across a wide range of disciplines.
Our multidisciplinary team includes specialists in Anaesthesia, Cardiology, Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Soft Tissue and Orthopaedic Surgery, Ophthalmology, and Diagnostic Imaging.
We also provide comprehensive rehabilitation services, including physiotherapy and hydrotherapy using an underwater treadmill, ensuring exceptional patient care from diagnosis through recovery.
Our surgery intern program is aimed at motivated veterinary surgeons, who will play a key role in the management, monitoring, and treatment of our patients.
Our intern will rotate between Soft Tissue, Orthopaedic Surgery and the out of hours service, over a twelve-month period.
A surgery internship is the first step towards specialist training.
For others, the skills and knowledge they have acquired during the internship can be brought to a general practice setting.
At inspiring vet care, our people are at the heart of everything we do.
As the UK's number one vet care provider, we're trusted with the care of over 2 million animals, delivering our purpose of healthier animals and happier owners.
