We have an exciting opportunity for a people-focused and motivated Practice Manager to join Woodland Vets to work alongside our DoPCS, supported by our Lead Vet, Head Nurse and 2 Head Receptionists. Our main site is based in Midhurst and we have three smaller branches within a 9 mile radius. Situated in the beautiful South Downs, a stone's throw away from the coast and London, giving the best of both worlds. Joining an amazing team of 9 Vets, 7 RVNs, 2 SVNs, 4 VCAs, and receptionists all working together to achieve an excellent standard of care. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We are open to discussing flexibility for the right candidate.
As Practice Manager, you will lead the non-clinical operations of the practice, working closely with clinical leadership to ensure efficient day-to-day running, strong team performance, and an outstanding client experience. You’ll be responsible for operational delivery, people management, and compliance, while supporting the practice to achieve its performance, quality, and service objectives. This role plays a key part in creating a positive culture and enabling clinical teams to deliver excellent care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and develop the non-clinical team, creating a positive and collaborative culture
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows
- Deliver an excellent client journey from first contact through to follow-up care
- Manage rotas, recruitment, onboarding, and team development
- Support financial processes including invoicing, payroll, and stock control
- Monitor performance and support practice growth and improvements
- Ensure compliance with RCVS standards, health & safety, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain facilities, equipment, and stock levels
- Handle client feedback and resolve issues professionally
- Support marketing and community engagement initiatives
