We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Mc Murtry & Harding Veterinary Practice in Wirksworth on a part-time, 7-month fixed-term contract.

Mc Murtry & Harding Veterinary Practice is a supportive first opinion practice, where our team is committed to delivering high standards of patient and client care.

This is a great opportunity for an RVN who enjoys variety, teamwork and being part of the day-to-day running of a busy clinical environment.

Based at our Wirksworth branch, you’ll work closely with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, supporting patients throughout their clinical journey while helping to provide a friendly and professional experience for clients.

  • How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

  • Working Pattern
  • 30 hours per week
  • Tuesday to Friday between the hours of 8:30am-7pm
  • 7.5 hours per day
  • 7-month fixed-term contract
  • General Responsibilities
  • Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied first opinion caseload
  • Support surgical procedures, including anaesthesia monitoring and theatre nursing
  • Provide excellent inpatient care and support patient recovery
  • Run nurse consultations and contribute to preventative healthcare and client education
