We started as a single vet practice in East Dulwich, SE London 14 years ago and have now grown to have 3 practices with 20 vets, 12 RVNs, 12 VCAs/ SVNs and 28 support staff. We are a close team who work to a high standard, but we are welcoming and not intimidating. We have lovely facilities and buildings, and all the usual good toys. We also have Cert holders in Surgery (3), Medicine (4), Cardiology (1), Ophthalmology (2), ECC (1) and 1 studying for Dermatology.
Practice Highlights
Well firstly, you can expect an excellent standard of care. For example, for every anaesthetic, we use the best drugs (only sevo gas) and everything has an IV placed and gets fluids. We have 20 minute consultations as standard and make sure you have time for work-ups and surgery. We use a range of anaesthetic monitors, we manually chart, we supervise, we train, we record incidents and we review our practice and process in a supportive way.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload. You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you. We would like someone with confidence in their own abilities which translates into the best pet care. We want someone who can work in a busy, sometimes high‑pressure environment, can manage time and priorities and gets the work done each day.
Working Pattern
37 hours per week: 3 x 10 hour weekdays (1 hour unpaid lunch), 1 x 5 hour weekday, 1 in 4 weekends (one is a Saturday 8:30 - 3pm, followed 4 weeks later by Sat and Sun each 9am - 7pm with a weekday in lieu following).
