We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Veterinary Care Assistant to join our team at The Neighbourhood Vet on a full-time basis. The role will be split between our East Dulwich and Penge practices.

The Neighbourhood Vet is a lovely 20-vet practice in SE London established over 12 years ago. Our main hospital is situated in the heart of East Dulwich on popular Lordship Lane, and our two branch clinics are in Crofton Park and Penge, where we are a strong part of the local community. Although we are a large group of 72 fantastic people, we have a close-knit, caring team. We pride ourselves on being kind and compassionate, doing the right thing for our staff, clients, and their pets, and we like to laugh and try to make every day at work a good one.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the clinical team to deliver high standards of patient and client care, while helping to ensure the practice environment runs smoothly and safely. Working under the direction of a Veterinary Surgeon or Registered Veterinary Nurse, you'll support inpatient care, assist with patient handling and restraint, help maintain clinical areas and equipment, and contribute to a positive and compassionate experience for both patients and clients.

Working Pattern

4 day week. 9.5hr shifts (mix between early and late shifts) 1 in 4 weekends (alternating between long and short) long weekend 9am-7pm Saturday and Sunday with day off after the weekend. Short weekend 8:30am-3pm Saturday only.
