Clinical Lead Veterinary Surgeon

Financial Package

Salary up to £75,000 FTE, based on experience; up to £5,000 welcome bonus; up to £8,000 relocation allowance; plus the Elevate Bonus – 20% of salary after six months and 10% after twelve months, in addition to a full benefits package.

  • How You’ll Make a Difference

As Clinical Lead Veterinary Surgeon, you will combine hands‑on clinical work with leadership responsibilities, ensuring outstanding patient care while supporting the development of your colleagues and the continued success of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the clinical team alongside the Practice Director
  • Deliver high‑quality patient care across consultations and surgery
  • Mentor and support less experienced Veterinary Surgeons through case discussions and clinical development
  • Help drive clinical standards, team engagement and a positive practice culture
  • Contribute to business performance, operational success and sustainable practice growth
  • Working Pattern
  • Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Shifts between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm Monday‑Friday on a rota basis
  • Saturday mornings (8:30 am‑1:30 pm) on a rotational basis

  • You hold a Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
  • You have experience in clinical practice, confident in medical and surgical cases
  • You possess strong communication skills and can build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
  • You have leadership or mentoring experience and are passionate about supporting others
  • You demonstrate professionalism, reliability and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
