We are looking for a confident, approachable receptionist with excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for animal care. As the first point of contact for our clients, you’ll play a vital role in creating a positive experience, offering reassurance, empathy, and professionalism at all times.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a busy environment, enjoy working as part of a close-knit team, and be highly organised with the ability to juggle multiple tasks. Previous experience in a fast‑paced role is essential, and experience within a veterinary or healthcare setting would be a distinct advantage. You should also be comfortable handling sensitive and confidential information, working to deadlines, and using a range of IT systems. In an emotional environment, remain calm, compassionate, and professional under pressure.
This is a fixed term 9 month contract to cover maternity leave working 19 hours per week. Mon & Wed 8:30‑18:30, every 4th week Mon 8:30‑18:30, Wed 8.30‑13:30 and Sat 8:30‑13:00 (Saturday cover may be at Knockanboy clinic in Dervock).
