Wright and Morten Equine Vets, based in Cheshire are a well-established 9 vet team proving a large range of ambulatory and clinic-based services for our clients.
Due to one of our experienced vets having a career change we are seeking to recruit a veterinary surgeon with minimum 1 year experience.

- A supportive friendly team
- Very good work life balance with working hours 8:30am-5:30pm but vets are often finished by 5pm
- Generous time off for weekends worked (5 days for 2 weekends)
- You will enjoy clinical freedom with the back-up of our clinic team and friendly supportive ambulatory team.
- Our team currently consists of certificate holders in Equine Orthopaedics, Equine Dentistry and Equine Lameness who are able to offer support with working up your own cases as needed.

- How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Veterinary Surgeon, you'll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.
You'll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice.
You'll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.
Key Responsibilities
- Minimum 1 year experience
- Confident with routine and ambulatory emergency work (remote support always available and structured help and training available if required)
- Full participation in OOH rota on a 1 in 5 basis
- Although full time is preferrable we will consider part time at a minimum of 3 days a week.

- A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
- Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues

- Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
