We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Riverside Veterinary Centre on a full time basis. This is a key front‑of‑house role within our busy practice, with the opportunity to become a permanent member of the team for the right person.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction. You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non‑clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Working Pattern

  • Working 40 hours per week
  • 1 in 3 Saturday mornings

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcoming clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism
  • Answering telephone calls and handling client enquiries
  • Booking and managing appointments efficiently
  • Providing information on services and appointment processes
  • Handling pre‑authorisations and insurance claims
  • Taking payments and managing financial transactions
  • Completing daily administrative tasks
  • Maintaining a clean, fresh, and welcoming reception and waiting area
  • Relaying client queries to veterinary surgeons and nurses, and responding appropriately
  • Supporting ongoing client communication and follow‑ups
