Salary Up to £65,000 DOE.

Location & Working Hours: Work in our clinics in West Sussex (Bognor, Chichester, Selsey, Barnham). 40 hours per week; Saturday mornings on rota but no out of hours.

Role Overview: We are looking for an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon focused on clinical excellence and teamwork. You will join an experienced and collaborative team at Downland Veterinary Group, working in first opinion and daytime emergencies. Consult‑only position also available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high standard patient and client care across a varied caseload.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider practice team.
  • Continue to develop clinical skills and interests while sharing knowledge with colleagues.
  • Contribute positively to clinical culture and support development of colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS.
  • Experience in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Proactive approach to learning, openness to feedback, and professional reliability.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
