We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, and compassionate Student Veterinary Nurse Apprentice to join our friendly and supportive team.

How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Student Veterinary Nurse, you will be supported and encouraged to develop both your clinical and non‑clinical skills while working towards qualification as a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
You’ll be an integral part of the practice team, supporting patient care under the guidance of Veterinary Surgeons and Registered Veterinary Nurses.
You’ll gain hands‑on experience across a range of nursing duties while progressing through your training programme and developing confidence in your day‑to‑day practice.
- Working Pattern
- Full‑time (38‑40 hours per week) + Out of Hours
- OOH: 1 in 4 weekend rota + 1 weeknight on call (with appropriate support)
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting Registered Veterinary Nurses and Veterinary Surgeons with patient care
- Learning to provide high‑quality nursing care to a wide variety of patients
- Supporting consultations, theatre, and inpatient care
- Preparing and maintaining equipment and clinical areas
- Maintaining excellent hygiene and infection control standards
- Assisting with reception and administrative duties when required
- Building positive relationships with clients and colleagues
- Completing coursework and practical training as part of your apprenticeship programme
