We are seeking a part-time Insurance Administrator to join our friendly and supportive veterinary hospital team, working across our Brighton and Peacehaven sites.
Our Brighton Clinic is based within our flagship hospital in central Brighton. The clinic provides a comprehensive range of general practice veterinary services including medicine, surgery, radiography, CT, ultrasound and dentistry along with the support of nursing clinics – all bolstered by excellent hospital facilities. Patients of our Brighton clinic can also benefit from the on-site support of Brighton Veterinary Referrals if additional expertise is required. Our beautiful Peacehaven Clinic delivers advanced general practice services to clients on the coast, but clients also benefit from the skill sets and facilities available at the Brighton hospital if required.
How you'll make a difference
This is a transitioning role, created to ensure a smooth handover as our current Insurance Administrator gradually reduces their hours ahead of retirement. Full training and support will be provided during this period.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing and submitting veterinary insurance claims
- Liaising with insurance companies, clients, and internal teams
- Ensuring accuracy and compliance with insurer requirements
- Maintaining organised and up-to-date claim records
- Providing clear, empathetic communication to clients throughout the claims process
This is a part-time position, working 15 hours per week to start, with the view of increasing to 30 hours per week within 6-12 months.

- Comfortable managing workloads independently
- Experienced in insurance administration and/or veterinary practice (preferred but not essential)
- Calm, professional, and empathetic in a client-facing environment
Previous experience in a veterinary or medical setting would be advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
