You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. This is a varied role where you will be involved in nurse consultations, operating, managing hospitalised patients, and supporting the wider team. There will also be some occasional reception duties, giving you the opportunity to build strong relationships with clients and support the overall client journey. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week across a 4-day working week, Tuesday to Friday. Shifts are 10.5 hours per day.

General responsibilities

  • Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied first opinion caseload
  • Run nurse consultations and support preventative healthcare
  • Support surgical procedures, including anaesthesia monitoring and theatre nursing
  • Provide excellent inpatient care and support patient recovery
