An opportunity has risen for a part-time or full-time Veterinary Referral Clinician - Internal Medicine to join our existing highly competent team. Your role will involve investigating and managing a wide variety of internal medicine cases, and communicating with clients and referring vets. Earlswood Veterinary Hospital is a leading RCVS-accredited general and referral hospital with an outstanding reputation across Ireland.

Our referral services include Internal Medicine, Orthopaedics, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Soft Tissue Surgery, Rehabilitation and Pain Management. The site is exceptionally well equipped, offering three operating theatres, digital and dental radiography, ultrasound, arthroscopy, fluoroscopy, endoscopy, laparoscopy, an on-site 16-slice CT scanner and visiting high-field MRI. You will be working in an environment that truly supports advanced diagnostics, learning and clinical excellence.

You’ll Make a Difference

You’ll work alongside another Advanced Practitioner in small animal medicine and our lead Medicine referral nurse to develop the referral service and deliver outstanding patient and client care. You will also demonstrate a passion for supporting the development of colleagues through mentoring, supervision, and knowledge sharing. You’ll contribute positively to the efficient running of your service and play an active role in maintaining high clinical standards and continuous improvement.

As part of our commitment to the continued success of the Medicine service we will be recruiting an AVP trainee who will rely on you for support and guidance.

  • You are an experienced veterinary surgeon with strong clinical expertise and a passion for delivering high-quality referral-level care.
  • A Veterinary degree with RCVS registration, and Advanced Practitioner status.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with referring vets, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.
