We are looking for a friendly and approachable Veterinary Receptionist and Customer Care administrator to join our team on a full‑time or part‑time basis.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for liaising with clients and clinical staff to deliver an exceptional standard of customer care.
  • Meeting and greeting clients and their pets.
  • Managing appointments and diaries.
  • Handling telephone and email enquiries.
  • Processing payments for services and products.
  • Overseeing cash handling and end‑of‑day banking.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
  • Assisting with dispensing medications and handling pets when required.
  • Working closely with veterinary staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Managing pet insurance details and monitoring vaccination status.
  • Coordinating future appointments and promoting pet health care memberships.
  • Dealing with emergencies and critical cases.
Rota

Ideally this role is full time up to 40 hours per week over 5 days; however we can also consider part time hours for this role. There will be various shifts with opening and closing times on weekdays 8am-7:30pm and the shifts will consist of an early morning shift and a late evening shift plus a weekend rota 1 in 5 to cover Saturday and Sunday from 9:00am to 2:00pm.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone with exceptional customer service skills as you will be the first point of contact for clients. You must have a friendly, welcoming demeanor, excellent attention to detail, be a confident communicator via phone, face to face, and email, be patient, a team player, and be proficient in Microsoft Office packages. Experience in the veterinary or health care sector is preferable. Will suit someone who is used to working in a high‑paced environment that is willing to multi‑task. Must have confident clear IT skills.
