Mearley Veterinary Group - Lancashire (Clitheroe/Accrington/Barrowford) Full Time, Flexible Up to £55,000 DOE. Mearley Vets, part of inspiring vet care, have a fantastic opportunity for a Director of Practice to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a Director of Practice to take ownership of the strategic development and growth of the practice. The successful candidate will have the autonomy to shape its future direction, build on existing strengths, and drive continuous improvement across both clinical and operational areas.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As Director of Practice / Hospital Director, you will have overall responsibility for the operational, commercial and people performance of one or more practices or hospitals, working closely with clinical leadership to deliver outstanding patient and client care. You’ll set and execute the strategic direction of the practice(s), lead multidisciplinary teams, and ensure the delivery of high standards across operations, client experience and business performance. This role plays a critical part in shaping culture, driving results and supporting sustainable growth.

Working Pattern

  • Working a 40 hour week across 5 days
  • Must be flexible to rotate hours between 9am and 7pm
  • Deliver management support across three sites

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and delivering the annual business plan
  • Driving continuous improvement and change initiatives
  • Managing the full P&L of the practice
  • Meeting budgetary goals and driving sustainable business growth
  • Monitoring business performance and engaging the team in shared goals
  • Promoting a culture of learning, development, and performance improvement
  • Ensuring appropriate resource planning and team development
  • Championing excellence in client care and supporting client engagement and retention strategies
  • Creating an engaging, supportive, and high-performance culture
  • Maintaining a safe, compliant, and positive working environment
