We work closely with various known housing associations, local councils as well as catering to the private sector such as schools, hotels, care homes and commercial buildings.

About the Role:

Customer service and account coordination are at the centre of this role. Alongside your day-to-day responsibilities, you will have opportunities to use your interests in project management, operations, engineering, business development or marketing. Training and Career Development:

  • Learn from experienced B2B colleagues and technical teams, with induction, practical guidance and relevant continuing professional development (CPD).
  • Build confidence using our job management systems and develop your understanding of client contracts, commercial processes and building services.
  • Progress from supporting accounts to coordinating assigned clients, with a pathway towards a dedicated Account Manager role as your capability and performance develop.
  • Progression will be reviewed against agreed objectives, readiness to take ownership of a portfolio and business needs. You will have opportunities to discuss your progress and development with your manager.

What You Will Do:

You will take on responsibilities progressively, with training and supervision appropriate to your experience. Your manager will help you balance client service priorities with development and improvement projects.

  • Client relationships and customer service
    • Support key and strategically important client accounts, learning their sites, priorities, service agreements and communication preferences.
    • Build trusted relationships with client contacts and decision makers.
    • Handle calls, emails and enquiries professionally; give clear updates and follow through on queries or complaints.
    • Attend client reviews and meetings, record actions and escalate concerns promptly.
  • Operations and project coordination
    • Log instructions and coordinate reactive repairs, planned preventive maintenance and project activities with engineers, subcontractors and managers.
    • Confirm access, priorities, deadlines and the next action on each job.
    • Track work from initial enquiry to completion and aftercare, including parts, approvals, return visits and handovers.
    • Keep schedules and client portals current, and flag delays or resource issues early.
    • Check job reports for missing information and help assemble certificates, photographs and completion packs.
    • Refer technical decisions and safety concerns to the appropriate qualified colleague.
  • Quotations and commercial administration
    • Help prepare quotations using engineer findings, approved rates and supplier prices.
    • Follow up proposals, record decisions and obtain the required approvals for orders, variations and additional work.
    • Support purchase orders, material sourcing, cost tracking and accurate invoicing.
    • Work with Finance and Supply Chain to resolve queries, progress completed but un-invoiced jobs and protect agreed margins.
  • Business development and client onboarding
    • Research prospective clients and sectors, maintain prospect records and support agreed outreach, introductory meetings and proposals.
    • Help identify suitable opportunities within existing accounts, including maintenance and renewable energy services.
    • Support new client onboarding by gathering site details, contacts, service requirements, purchase order processes and reporting expectations.
    • Coordinate the handover so colleagues can deliver what has been agreed.
  • Marketing and improvements
    • Work alongside our IT department and relevant colleagues on social media content, email campaigns, client brochures, presentations and case studies that explain the business' services clearly.
    • Bring fresh ideas, gather approved project information and help track enquiries and campaign results.
    • Obtain the appropriate approval before publishing content or using client information and images.
    • Use client feedback and account data to suggest practical improvements to service, reporting and departmental growth.
    • Help trial agreed changes and assess whether they work.
    • Maintain accurate records in BigChange JobWatch and other company systems.
    • Follow the company's confidentiality, information security, quality, safety and purchasing procedures, and work within your agreed authority.
