About the Role
This is an opportunity to learn every stage of the financial advice process while supporting experienced advisers and developing the technical knowledge needed to become a trusted financial planning professional.
You’ll work closely with advisers, paraplanners and clients, gaining practical experience that goes far beyond a traditional graduate role.
What You'll Do
As a Graduate Financial Planner, you'll support advisers throughout the client journey while developing the technical and commercial skills required for a successful career.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting advisers in preparing personalised financial planning and investment recommendations.
- Gathering and analysing client financial information to produce comprehensive net worth statements and cash flow analyses.
- Preparing high-quality client reports, suitability letters and meeting documentation.
- Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring back-office systems are up to date.
- Attending client meetings, taking notes and observing how experienced advisers build trusted relationships.
- Researching financial planning solutions, investment products and market developments.
- Supporting regulatory and compliance activities to maintain the highest professional standards.
- Working collaboratively across the business to deliver an exceptional client experience.
- As your experience grows, you'll take on increasing responsibility and contribute to more complex financial planning work.
Who We're Looking For
- We're looking for exceptional graduates who combine strong academic achievement with curiosity, analytical thinking and a genuine interest in financial planning.
- You'll ideally have:
- A First Class degree (or be on track to achieve one) from a leading UK university.
- A degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering or another analytical discipline.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding attention to detail.
- Commercial awareness and an interest in financial markets.
- A proactive attitude and enthusiasm for learning.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Previous experience in financial services isn't required, we're looking for individuals with the potential, ambition and commitment to build a successful career in wealth management.
