Are you a confident Braze CRM specialist? We’re hiring a specialist-level Braze marketer to run customer email communications and on-site/website journeys for our prize draw product. Customers can enter as a one-off or subscribe (automatic monthly payment). Your goal is to use smart segmentation, persuasive messaging, and well-built journeys to increase subscription conversion from one-off entrants while protecting customer trust and brand quality. You’ll be hands-on in Braze—building Canvases, launching campaigns, testing, and using performance data to iterate.
Key responsibilities
- Build and optimize Braze Canvases and campaigns that move customers from one-off entry → subscriber.
- Create lifecycle journeys across key moments: onboarding, post-entry, reminders, renewal nudges, churn prevention, win-back/reactivation.
- Set up and maintain segmentation using behavioral and transactional signals (entry history, engagement, frequency, recency, intent).
- Write and iterate email copy (subject lines, body, CTAs) with strong marketing sensibility and conversion focus.
- Personalize messaging using Braze attributes, events, and templating (e.g., Liquid, dynamic content).
- Run A/B tests (messaging, timing, cadence, offer framing, journey logic); document learnings and roll out improvements.
- Monitor and report on performance: subscription conversion, engagement, deliverability metrics, churn/retention signals.
- Collaborate with product/data/engineering to ensure tracking and customer data support targeting and measurement.
- Own campaign QA: links, tracking parameters, rendering, compliance, and best-practice list hygiene.
Requirements
- 2–4+ years’ hands-on experience with Braze (segmentation, Campaigns, Canvases, reporting).
- Strong understanding of lifecycle marketing and conversion journeys.
- Confident working with data and metrics; able to translate analysis into clear actions.
- Strong copywriting and messaging instincts (value framing, clarity, CTA discipline).
- Comfortable juggling multiple campaigns and priorities with great attention to detail.
Nice to have
- Experience driving conversion to subscriptions (one-off → recurring revenue).
- Familiarity with deliverability basics (spam rates, unsubscribe management, sender reputation).
- Experience working with event tracking/tools (GA4, Mixpanel, Amplitude) or data warehouses.
- Exposure to on-site personalization or multi-channel orchestration beyond email.
What success looks like
- Measurable lift in subscription conversion from one-off customers.
- Strong engagement without harming deliverability (healthy unsubscribe/spam complaint rates).
- A consistent testing cadence with documented learnings and continuous iteration.
- Clean, scalable segments and journeys that can expand with product growth.
