Responsibilities:
- We are looking for an analytical and resourceful Market Analyst who will play a key role in supporting both our New Client Acquisition (NCA) and Go-To-Market (GTM) functions. This role is focused on researching, qualifying and presenting new business opportunities, while also generating market insight that informs strategic decision-making.
- You will conduct detailed research into potential clients, analyse financial and commercial data and ensure all leads are vetted in line with our business strategy.
- Working closely with the NCA, Marketing and GTM teams, you will help shape outreach campaigns, support event activity, build prospect lists and contribute to the creation of go-to-market strategies for clients.
Go-To-Market (GTM)
- Conduct detailed research into client products, services, markets and competitors.
- Compile and share data, insights and analytics with the GTM team to support strategic decision-making.
- Complete GTM documentation based on in-depth market research.
- Identify potential market gaps and opportunities in collaboration with the GTM team.
- Work alongside the Client Manager and GTM team to produce strategy presentation documents outlining go-to-market, sales and marketing plans.
- Build high-quality lead lists based on data insights and research findings.
- Review GTM strategies quarterly with the Client Manager and implementation team and support the development of alternative approaches where needed.
New Client Acquisition (NCA)
- Research and identify new business opportunities in line with the business plan, associate team priorities and current partner needs.
- Qualify potential prospects using available tools, assessing criteria such as size, turnover, financial data and competitor landscape.
- Present qualified prospective clients to the NCA team and ensure all relevant information is clearly communicated.
- Support the NCA team by sourcing accurate contact information for target prospects.
- Revisit and evaluate previously approached or considered prospects to assess renewed suitability for scale-up support.
- Maintain clean, accurate and categorised CRM records, ensuring prospect data is entered correctly and added to relevant marketing sequences.
- Attend industry events to make introductions and identify potential new clients.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in research is essential, which can be either work-related or in an educational setting.
- Experience of pulling information together and presenting both in person and in a document.
- Understanding and insight into how go-to-market strategies work.
- Commercially astute, with strong analytical skills.
- Be able to manage many projects at once and push them through to the next stage of the process.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Results-driven, with a high level of initiative and proven track record of delivering success through teamwork.
- Proven numerical skills – able to delve into data to draw out pertinent observations.
- Demonstrable process improvement skills.
